Beer Week Brewing in Atlanta
With the announcement of the Second Annual “Beer Week” on October 1st – 8th, 2011, Atlanta joins the ranks of major craft beer cities in the U.S.
BEER WEEK BREWING IN ATLANTA FOR OCTOBER 1ST-8TH, 2011
(Atlanta, GA) The week will begin with special Kick Off events, headlined by the popular HOToberFest on October 1st in the city’s Glenwood Park neighborhood, where attendees will be able to sample over 260 unique craft beers.
“Cities like Philadelphia, Chicago, New York, Boston, San Diego, and Portland have major craft beer markets and have their own ‘Beer Weeks,’” says Reid Ramsay, the founder of Beer Street Journal. “Atlanta is currently the eighth largest craft beer market in the country and so it only makes sense that we have our own. We look forward to making this a great annual event for the city’s residents and businesses.”
Atlanta Beer Week will include events citywide, including tastings, classes, social gatherings, dinners featuring beers paired with gourmet meals, and special beer and brewer presentations.
Brewing and beer education classes open to all experience levels will be available on multiple days as will special rare beer and cask tastings. A number of the brewers who produce the one-of-a-kind libations will be in town for lunches, discussions, and workshops. The events section of the Atlanta Beer Week website (www.AtlantaBeerWeek.com) will be updated regularly with
additions to the schedule.
