Paperwork, Paperwork, Paperwork...

Jonathon Baker

It's been too long since I've checked in. And there is a reason. Paperwork. Starting a brewery involves a lot of paperwork. This isn't something we necessarily anticipated going into the "starting a brewery" process, but it does make intuitive sense. Alcohol is a highly regulated industry, at both federal and state levels. Even local governments get involved. It only makes sense that Monday Night Brewery should be taking up space in government-owned file cabinets all across the country.

You need federal label approval for any labels you plan on slapping on bottles (finished). You need licenses to be able to brew and sell beer (in process). And all of this requires filling out multiple forms… heading up to the Sheriff's office to get fingerprinted (unless you're in the unfortunate predicament of having your fingerprints on file already)… blah blah blah.

We've fortunately given ourselves plenty of ink and a few months to get all of this done. If there's one thing we don't want, it's to have our launch date held up because we didn't submit a form in time. Keep posted to see if we end up eating our words. Our many, many words on many, many pieces of paper.
