How to get a beer "red" looking

Hey beer buffs. I'm Giovanni, a home brewer in Northern California.

I've produced a beer that I really like. Two batches and it has come out great both times. The thing is, it is meant to be red, and I've used varying amounts of cara red for a five-gallon batch. What do you suggest is the appropriate amount to achieve that red hue?

I use a 20% mix of cara-red, Briess crystal 80, and melanoiden malt. This gives a nice red hue, and good flavor.
