2018 Beer Bloggers and Writers Conference Dates Announced

Zephyr Conferences has announced dates for its 2018 Beer Bloggers and Writers Conference (BBC). For all the details, see below:

(Red Lodge, MT) – Zephyr Conferences wrapped up the Beer Bloggers & Writers Conference (BBC) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin last week with highlights including a presentation by Frank Boon of Belgium’s Brouwerij Boon, a tasting session with renowned author Randy Mosher, and a look at the history of beer with the Smithsonian’s Susan Evans.  The event drew approximately 150 bloggers, writers and enthusiasts.

“One of the biggest takeaways from this year’s BBC, was that we are living in an opportune moment. With a huge swath of Millennials turning 21 and an even greater segment of Baby Boomers retiring, the U.S. is witnessing an explosion in those seeking beer, wine, spirit and food experiences from tourism trails, tap and tasting rooms, to festivals,” said Sara Pletcher, conference logistics manager for Zephyr Conferences. “Add to that the growing number of independent and craft brewers across the country, means there are a plethora of opportunities for brewers, writers, bloggers and marketers in this space. In fact, there is a need, and that’s where the BBC and Beer Marketing & Tourism Conference (BMTC) can be a great resource.”

While there is significant overlap in the BBC & BMTC, from which all attendees can benefit, the BBC is geared to beer bloggers, writers, digital media innovators, industry bloggers, brewery owners or representatives, and beer media professionals, with sessions on writing, social media, technology, community building, career growth, and marketing. Its sister conference, the BMTC is aimed at brewery guilds, destination management organizations, tour operators, event planners, PR companies, hotels and restaurants, as well as writers and bloggers, providing an overview of the current state of beer marketing & tourism, tap room management, social media, brewery sales, events, and networking.

Loudoun County, Virginia will host next year’s BBC from August 10-11, 2018 with pre- and post-conference excursions planned for August 8-9 and August 12. Tickets are now available and offered at a discounted rate of $95 for writers/bloggers through August 31, 2017. Information on registration, hotels and the pre-conference excursion with Dogfish Head Craft Brewery can be found atbeerbloggersconference.org.

The second annual BMTC will take place March 6-8 in Burlington, Vermont. The inaugural conference took place this past March in Asheville, North Carolina with 242 industry attendees from throughout North America and the world. Registration for the BMTC is currently open at the discounted rate of $295 through August 31, 2017. Additional information on the location, agenda, hotels and registration can be found at bmtcon.com.
