Crazy Mountain Brewing Co. To Open New Taproom This Fall

Crazy Mountain Brewing Co. is preparing to open a new taproom: the Crazy Mountain Saloon. For all the details, see the release below:

Edwards, CO: Crazy Mountain Brewing Company’s growth and expansion continues in the fall of 2017 as it is set to open a new taproom space in the Winter Park Village, which will be coined the Crazy Mountain Saloon at Winter Park.

Following Crazy Mountain’s recent taproom additions in the Denver-metro area, the Winter Park location will also feature draft beers, comprised of Crazy Mountain’s year-round portfolio and rotating selections from its limited release Local’s Stash Reserve Series.

In addition to their beers, the Crazy Mountain Saloon at Winter Park will serve food, featuring hand-crafted sausages from Siegi’s Sausage Factory – a family-owned business based out of Tulsa, OK. Led by Siegimund Sumaruk, a fifth-generation sausage maker from Linz, Austria, Siegi’s and Crazy Mountain have partnered together to create sausages that are made with Crazy Mountain beers, the first of which is the Hookiebobb IPA bratwurst. New beer-infused sausages are in development and will include year-round and seasonal flavors. The Saloon will also serve finger foods and other après-ski appropriate offerings.

Growing from its roots in the Vail Valley, this location will be Crazy Mountain’s second foray into Colorado ski country. The location is in the heart of the Winter Park Village, on Parry Peak Way, nestled in between the Village Cabriolet lift and Zephyr Express. This location marks the fifth Colorado taproom opening for Crazy Mountain, and the third in 2017.

Crazy Mountain intends to open its doors by November 2017, just in time for the opening of ski season at the resort. The taproom aesthetic will reflect that of the current Crazy Mountain taprooms; much of the space will be outfitted with pine beetle kill and showcase hand-crafted furniture, tap handles and artwork built in-house by members of the brewery team.

“We’re excited to be able to bring Crazy Mountain back up into the hills and to another Colorado ski town. The addition of this Saloon space will allow us to connect with beer lovers, skiers and boarders, and the passionate pursuers of life alike – the ones that we truly resonated with from the beginning of our days in the Vail Valley. We are looking forward to growing the Crazy community and being a part of another great ski town community.” – Greg Neale, Director of Marketing

The company’s growth isn’t limited to its retail locations. With distribution now reaching 27 states, and 11 international markets, Crazy Mountain was recognized as the ninth largest production brewery in Colorado, as well as being identified as one of the top-30 fastest growing breweries in the country, in 2016 – less than seven years after first opening its doors in Edwards, CO.
