Ring in the New Year with Snow Capped Cider's Exclusive 2023 Specialty Line

Embrace the festivities this New Year's Eve with Snow Capped Cider's latest offering of five exquisite 375ml cork and cage bottles, each a masterpiece crafted from Colorado estate-grown apples. Led by Kari Williams, a visionary in the apple growing and cider production realm, Snow Capped Cider unveils limited-edition bottles that pay homage to historical apple varieties, available now at select retailers and online.

The 2023 Specialty 375 ml line takes inspiration from apples with rich historical significance, including the Newtown Pippin, a favorite of Thomas Jefferson and George Washington, and the Arkansas Black, a prominent variety originating from 70-year-old trees in Arkansas.

Kari Williams, with a family legacy spanning over a century in the orchard industry, established Snow Capped Cider in 2014. The brand remains committed to using superior cider-specific fruit cultivated in Colorado, adhering to authentic orchard-based English and French styles. By eschewing artificial sugars, Snow Capped Cider ensures a pure and refreshing taste in their premium cider.

“Our specialty line is an excellent choice for making your New Year's Eve celebration even more special, said owner and cider maker Kari Williams. "We put our hearts into crafting all our ciders, ensuring that each one reflects the utmost quality and unique flavors that originate from the distinct characteristics of Colorado's elevated terroir.”

About Snow Capped Cider Orchard

The Snow Capped Cider story begins in the late 1800s with James Howard Williams (Pap) and their family orchards. In the early days the family moved to Cedaredge, CO and cleared their first twenty acres where they began growing apples and stone fruit including peaches, plums and cherries. Pap’s son Ozie, grandson Dan and great-grandson Ty continued purchasing new land, expanding the farm and developing new growing practices.

Beginning with Pap, every generation has been integrally involved in the packing and shipping of fruit out of Surface Creek Valley.  Always mindful of the needs of the local farming community, in any given time period, the family established or helped establish packing companies, partnerships and grower collectives.

Snow Capped Cider has planted over 250 thousand cider-specific varieties in their orchards  including rare and highly sought after cider apples with origins dating back as far as the 1700s. With over two million apple trees in total, they are the largest apple producer in the state of Colorado. At an elevation of 6130-7000 feet, their orchard is also one of the highest elevation orchards in the North Hemisphere. Read more history here.
