Beer Here: Berghoff Brewery's Rowdy Root Beer

Chicago’s venerable Berghoff Brewery will debut its Rowdy Root Beer in July. The 6.6% ABV brew is Berghoff’s first alcoholic root beer, though it has produced a classic root beer since the days of Prohibition.

Rowdy Root Beer is made with a flavorless porter base and root beer flavoring, and will be available in six-packs of cans, and on draught in select Chicago-area bars. The label features a cartoon designed for Berghoff by Canadian artist Chez Meka.

Berghoff Brewery’s beers are brewed at Stevens Point Brewery in Wisconsin, the 26th largest craft brewery in the U.S.
