Exciting Rebranding: Women's Craft Fermentation Alliance Unveils WIBS 23: A Craft Fermentation Summit

The Women's Craft Fermentation Alliance (WCFA) is thrilled to unveil the highly anticipated third edition of their international summit, marking a significant transformation. Formerly known as the Women's International Beer Summit (WIBS), this year, the event has been rebranded as "WIBS 23: A Craft Fermentation Summit."

Scheduled for October 21-22, 2023, this virtual summit promises to be a groundbreaking event, offering an extensive exploration of the entire craft fermentation industry and hobby. The rebranding signifies a departure from the summit's exclusive beer-centric focus, expanding its scope to embrace all facets of craft fermentation. Moreover, this year's summit is open to all enthusiasts and professionals, as it continues its mission to celebrate and amplify the voices of women and non-binary individuals within the industry.

“Our event is a chance for our attendees to hear firsthand from the best in the fermentation industry about how they got their start and the impact we can each make in the art and science that is craft fermentation,” says Melissa McCann, Founder of the Women’s Craft Fermentation Alliance. “Throughout the event, attendees will have the opportunity to ask panelists questions, offering a one-on-one experience for them to chat directly with industry professionals.”

Michele Wonder, Web and Media Director, adds, “In 2022, there were speakers from five continents sharing their stories, their journeys, their passion and skills with 400+ attendees. The international aspect of this summit is quite unique and, in 2023, we have committed speakers from South Africa, Japan, Iceland, Belgium, Scotland, Dominican Republic with more still in the works.”

While the Summit itself is entirely virtual, the WCFA encourages those interested in hosting in-person community or club events alongside the Summit to get in touch.

Early birds have the opportunity to secure discounted tickets by pre-registering for the event. Once registered, attendees will receive a special code via email when these exclusive offers become available. The WCFA also extends a warm invitation to those in need of scholarships or with special considerations to reach out, assuring a sensitive and discreet approach. For added convenience, recordings of the summit sessions will be made available for indefinite viewing to those who purchase weekend tickets, ensuring no one misses out on the valuable insights and discussions.

Don't miss out on the opportunity to be part of this exciting craft fermentation summit. Pre-register today and secure your spot at WIBS 23: A Craft Fermentation Summit for a memorable, inclusive, and knowledge-packed experience.
