Bottle VS Cans

It looks like more and more brewers are going to cans over bottles, and I was just curious on others takes on this. I can see the advantage for the brewers. Cans are easier to ship, store, and stack on shelves. There is less breakage and I did read where beer keeps better in cans (not necessarily my opinion).

I prefer bottles. I always wipe the opening of the bottle before I take my first taste of the beer. I have found crud along where the bottle cap clamps onto the bottle. I feel this helps keeping things out of my mouth that I don't want in there. With cans there is no way to do this. At least not without water, a brush, and something to dry the can afterward. I also think that the can adds a taste to the beer. No matter how fresh the can is, there always seems to be an odd taste to all the cans that I have tried.

Just curois on others thoughts. I wish there was a way to keep bottles, but I think brewers, transporters, and stores will win out in the end.
